The “Higher Education Management” Summer School 2011 is designed to provide Russian students with a range of courses covering the topic of higher education management. Characterized as a multi-disciplinary program, this summer school provides the participants with an overview of the research and application of the management of higher educational organizations, including teaching and training, strategy in higher education management, marketing & branding and change management.
Where and when
The summer school will be held from July 10 to 24, 2011, at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. Up to 30 students will be accepted to this summer school, which will be conducted in English.
Participants
Students who are interested in the topic of higher education management and are interested in joining us in the research on the management of higher educational institutions are welcome to submit their applications.
Topics
The program teaches you the ins and outs of new marketing in a practical and applicable way by covering the following topics:
- Framework of Higher Education Management
- Pedagogy
- Educational Management I
- Educational Management II
- Leadership
- Research Project
- Study in Germany (DAAD)
Teaching methods
The program offers a blend of challenging, active classroom sessions, discussions with professionals, possibility for business visits and cultural activities.
Learning outcomes
We have developed a challenging curriculum that gives the particpants an insight into the latest developments of higher education management and teaches them how to implement them into practice. A curriculum covering all relevant aspects of higher educational management from curriculum development and competency-based education to marketing and branding of higher education institutions.
Program fee
Sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF), this summer school is free of charge to all selected participants, who are supposed to bear the travel and accommodation costs on their own.
Transferable Credit Points
Students who successfully complete the required assignments of the Summer School will be granted an "Higher Education Management "Summer School Certificate, signed by both by University of Applied Management and Higher School of Economic. The number of ECTS credit points is 4.
Language Requirements
All summer school programs are offered in in English, which means that a good active and passive knowledge of English is essential for enrolment.
