Marketing is changing and keeps changing. The Internet has a deep impact on marketing activities of companies and organizations, but also on customers. Present day customers intensively use social media, weblogs and twitter. 78% of customers pay more attention to recommendations by friends instead of believing commercial messages of companies. Traditional marketing alone is not enough for organizations to reach their marketing goals. Besides that, the rules of marketing have dramatically changed from interruption marketing to permission marketing, from telling to listening, from products and services to feelings and emotions. The IUNworld summer school marketing with social media and web 2.0 teaches you how to work with this "new" marketing.
Where and when
The summer school takes place at the Adventure Campus in Treuchtlingen, Germany from August 14-21, 2011. The campus offers comfortable single and double rooms, modern classrooms as well as a large variety of outdoor facilities, such as a high-rope garden. The campus is located in the beautiful nature park Altmühltal in Bavaria.
The summer school is especially designed for students and young professionals who want to expand their knowledge, skills and competences in the field of modern marketing in general, and on marketing with social media in particular. Participants should have a good basic knowledge of marketing.

The program focuses on offering participants an insight into the use of marketing with social media and web 2.0 in a hands-on way. During the summer school, the participants will develop a social media marketing plan for an organization of their choice.
The tuition fee for the two week summer school is € 695,- plus a non-refundable € 100,- registration fee. This price includes all lecturing and course materials. It is possible to add packages for accommodation, full boarding, cultural programs, business visits and outdoor activities.
Transferable Credit Points
After successfully completing the summer school program, participants will receive a certificate with 4 ECTS credit points which can be transferred to their home university. The certificate will be awarded by the University of Applied Management (UAM), Germany.
Language Requirements and Visa Support:
All summer school programs are offered in in English, which means that a good active and passive knowledge of English is essential for enrolment. For participants from countries outside of the European Union, IUNworld will provide invitations in order to support the visa process.
